Dr Michael Nueckel first studied physics, then medicine, at universities in Bonn, Bochum and Essen.

After taking the state examination in medicine in 1983, he began his career as an anaesthetist in Hamburg. He completed his specialist training at the Hamburg-Eppendorf University Hospital.

In 1992, he established his own practice as an anaesthetist. Since late 1992, he worked closely with Dr Fischer in the IVF department of the Leidenberger, Bohnet, Weise and & Partners group practice. He carried out TIVA for reproductive medicine interventions - which has become the standard for anaesthesia in IVF treatment.

Since 1984 he has worked intensively with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), particularly in the field of fertility treatments at the FCH.

He is married and has two adult children from a previous marriage. He likes to spend his free time with his dogs and horseriding.

Dr Susanne Quitmann has training in sex therapy and is a doctor working with depth-psychology

She is on the board of the German Society for Fertility Counselling (Deutschen Gesellschaft für Kinderwunschberatung-BKiD), a lecturer at the Adolf-Ernst-Meyer Institute and trains infertility counsellors

Dr Susanne Quitmann is married and has four children, as well as several grandchildren
